Family counsellor Juhani has trouble dealing with his own family matters: his marriage with Tuula has fallen apart. When looking for a buyer to purchase their house, they still live under the same roof and try to maintain an amiable relationship. Things turn fiery when Juhani brings home a gal, then Tuula brings home a guy, then Juhani sets off to find someone that will make Tuula jealous. One thing leads to another; somehow their house becomes a hiding place for a prostitute who is on the run from gangsters...
